Kladdkaka (Mud Cake)

Ingredients


Cake

  • Butter, 225 g
  • Eggs, 3 pcs
  • Sugar, 4.5 dl
  • Wheat flour, 3 dl
  • Baking powder, 1.5 tsp
  • Cocoa, 1.5 dl
  • Vanilla sugar, 6 tsp

Glaze

  • Cream, 3 dl
  • Honey, 1.5 tbsp
  • Sugar, 2.25 tbsp
  • Dark chocolate, 150 g
  • Butter, 3 tsp

Instructions


Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C
  2. Melt the butter
  3. Mix eggs and sugar in a bowl
  4. Mix flour, baking powder, cocoa, and vanilla sugar in another bowl
  5. Pour the dry ingredients into the egg batter and mix thoroughly
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and breaded pan
  7. Bake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes

Glaze

  1. Mix cream, honey and sugar
  2. Boil together in a pot
  3. Break the chocolate into a bowl and add the butter
  4. Pour over the hot mixture and mix lightly with a hand blender
  5. Cool in the refrigerator
  6. When the icing has solidified slightly, spread the it over the cake
